This is a sweet and pretty Barbie. She is ready to take her little dog for a walk in the part – looking like a bit of springtime in her floral print dress. She has waist length golden blonde hair which has a slight wave to it from the packaging. The front of her hair is pulled into a low ponytail at the back of her head. She has multi-tone blue eyes with a brown “crease” and eyebrows but no eye shadow as well as painted on eyelashes . Her lips are a soft pink and her pinkish blush is applied to look natural. Her mouth is open to reveal a delicate smile with teeth showing. Her face mold is known as Millie. The body of this doll light tan and is articulated – which now includes knee articulation that is more in line with the Made to Move Barbie. That means she has a less elegant looking knee articulation than older “The Look” dolls (I'll include a photo comparing the two.) With her shorter skirt exposing the knee, I wish that they had used the older style for this doll. On the other hand, I wish that they had used the articulated torso so give more versatility in posing the doll. This body style also has a larger more defined calf than the previous dolls. She has articulation at the shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips and knees. She has slim ankles and feet made for high heels. Her hands have mostly divided fingers with only two (middle and ring fingers) on each hand molded together and with a mauve nail polish on fingers and toes. Her clothing is very pretty and looks like springtime. The dress is a woven taffeta type of fabric in polyester. The sleeveless bodice is fitted and the skirt flares out at the waist to end just above the knees. The dress is white with light and medium pink and yellow flowers with touches of green leaves in a scattered pattern. The dress closes with a snap at the back and the pink belt with gold buckle is removable from the front. She has yellow peep toe stiletto heels and a gold bracelet.Other items included are a stand, a dog with yellow ribbon leash, a cell phone, pink sunglasses, a white and gold purse (doesn't open) and a really cute iced coffee container. The chair I use for photographs is not included – it is something I have had for a while.I've recently started adding newer Barbies to the collection I have had for years. I used to customize dolls for my daughters and am now back buying various Barbie dolls for my grandchildren. The dolls today are so diverse in their nature, I probably won't be doing as much customization as I did in the past.I'm really pleased that Mattel has included snaps on this doll's clothing. It is the type of quality I expect for a special doll (versus a child's play version.) My last doll in this line had hook and loop closures and it was out of sync with the higher quality fashion.
