I already knew the American Girl dolls were overpriced, but I'd gotten a mini doll as a gift for someone last year, so I had seen that the dolls were high-quality (although still overpriced), so I decided to go for a few more as other gifts, but only when I could catch them at their lowest prices. I won't pay more than $14 for one; most of the ones I've bought have been $10-12 (still a bit much, but one of these for $12 is better than a Lottie doll for an outrageous $20).ClothesThe clothes are made of good material, not like most dolls these days that come with paper-thin clothes. The material is nice enough that you could probably make real clothes out of the same fabric. I do wish Rebecca's clothes were in true layers rather than fake layers. What I mean is that the jacket and dress are just one piece, the skirt sewn onto the bottom of the jacket. I wish it had a dress under the jacket so the girl could take off the jacket and just play with the doll in the dress sometimes. I like the velvety-feeling bow around its jacket, but the buttons are fake, just purple thread, although they're nicely sewn.HairRebecca arrived with half of the hair folded up in back, so the hair is stuck with half of it flipped up in back. I held the hair down flat and put it back in the box, hoping the hair flattens out before it's time to unpack the doll. I've seen online that doll hair can be fixed with hot water, so I'll have to try that if the hair doesn't straighten out on its own. I like how soft the hair is, though.EyesI like that the doll's eyes really are green, like in the picture. Sometimes dolls show up and actually have blue eyes, but Rebecca's are indeed green."Book" -- HAHAHALike the other American Girl mini-dolls, the doll comes with a book that is really just a novelty. It's small but readable, if you wanted to read it, but it's an edited version of the book. Since the American Girl books are literary garbage anyway, it doesn't matter if it's edited or has tiny print; no one buys these dolls for the books -- it's all about the dolls. I wish they'd leave out the junk books and use that money to add some more detail to the dolls (or leave them as they are and lower the price).Yes, everyone hates the American Girl brand, but...In general, mini Rebecca a nice doll, and if you get it on sale the price isn't bad compared to similar dolls. Yes, of course, the American Girl brand is full of junk books and crap movies and crazy-overpriced merchandise released in the most addictive-to-kids-and-collectors way and is generally something to be avoided, I admit. The good news is that the mini dolls don't (yet) have the huge line of accessories that suck people in to keep buying and buying, so you can buy a mini doll as a gift and not worry about the parent being stuck with an endless wish list of overpriced stuff to go with the doll. If you can ignore the American Girl brand on these mini dolls, when they're on sale for $10-12 or even $14 the mini dolls are surprisingly a good alternative to Lottie or other similar dolls. My 8 year old granddaughter was so happy with these dolls. She loves american girl dolls but really loves little things that she can take around with her. They are so detailed and cute - just like the big dolls but the size of a child’s hand. The clothes are also just as detailed. I will purchase more for her. The book that comes with it is pretty much unreadable without a magnifying glass but the quality of the doll more than makes up for this. I was as happy with the dolls as she was.I bought 2 Mini Rebecca dolls from this seller, first one came perfect, but the second one came without her barrette, and with her hair brushed, she looks like used or like if she was the display doll And someone brushed her hair and removed her barrette. I was very disappointed as the tiny barrette is a lovely accessory which should be included with this doll. It was intended for a Gift so I didn’t have time to return it and had to give her as is. But definitely it was not a brand new doll as the first doll I received. Too disappointed. My daughter uses it as a toy for her regular sized dolls. Happy with purchase.Rebecca is such a little cutie. I love these 6 1/2 inch American Girl doll miniatures. Rebecca has a charming little dress, and shoes, which can be removed, She is made with the usual American Girl Quality and would be a lovely addition to any doll collection. I was so pleased to be able to add her to my collection at a reasonable price. My daughter loves these little versions of the American Girl dolls. Amazon's price is very affordable especially when coupons are available. The cost to purchase the doll on Amazon is half (sometimes less) than directly from AG. The dolls are incredibly well made and they come with accessories such as hair barrettes and shoes. Each doll comes with a small version of the book telling her story. My daughter uses the miniature books to pretend her regular sized dolls are reading or at school. We love the AG brand and these dolls make great gifts or rewards. The doll is great. Small, but no surprise.the description clearly states it is 6 inches. The book however, is TINY. The print is so small that it is extremely hard to read. It's the full boom reduced down to about an inch and a half tall. Don't order this thinking that you'll be able to enjoy the doll and book, the book is a waste of effort.I love these mini American Girl dolls. I had a big doll when I was young that I plan to pass down to my daughter when she is older but these are super cute and great since I am on a budget. I am saving them for Christmas but I am so excited to give them to her. They are smaller but high quality and exactly what I expected. Why spend a ton on a Barbie when you can get one of these nicer dolls at a similar price?she is delightful, amelia my grand daughter will love her thanking youAd describedVery happy granddaughterGood service, cute product.my daughter really love it..
